Las conjunciones: even if/even though (aunque)

We know "if", we know "even" and we know "though". What do we get if we put them all together?

Las conjunciones: aunque

Podemos decir aunque de dos maneras. Observa la diferencia:

EVEN IF (aunque = incluso si)	EVEN THOUGH (aunque = a pesar de que)
- She wants to go for a run even if it rains. - Quiere salir a correr aunque llueva. (= en cualquier caso)	- She wants to buy a car, even though she can't drive. - Quiere comprarse un coche, aunque no sabe conducir. (= a pesar de que no sabe conducir)
- I feel tired even if I go to bed early. - Me siento cansado aunque me acueste temprano. (= Me siento cansado incluso cuando me acuesto temprano/tanto si me acuesto temprano como si no)	- I feel tired even though I go to bed early. - Me siento cansado aunque me acuesto temprano. (= A pesar de que me acuesto temprano me siento cansado)
- Daniel always drives with the window open, even if it's cold. - Daniel siempre conduce con la ventanilla abierta, aunque haga frío. (= incluso cuando hace frío/en cualquier caso)	- Daniel wants to open the window even though it's cold. - Daniel quiere abrir la ventana aunque haga frío. (= a pesar del frío que hace en este momento)

En los ejercicios utilizaremos una sugerencia cuando no esté claro si debemos utilizar even if o even though:

- La abuela quiere salir del hospital, aunque aún no pueda caminar.	- Grandma wants to leave the hospital, even if she can't walk yet.
- La abuela quiere salir del hospital, aunque (a pesar de que) aún no pueda caminar.	- Grandma wants to leave the hospital, even though she can't walk yet.
